 Inspiration

I chose this bouquet of flowers(not sure what kind) I thought they were very pretty. I couldn't help but think of different floral clothing designs and jewelry. I was thinking more of a civilization that uses flowers as clothing.


I used both the top view of the flowers to make designs as well as petal shape. 

Sketch

The character I made was suppose to be like a queen of this flower land. She is wearing a dress modeled after petals as well as a belt of flowers around her waist. the crown also happens to be a giant flower with little flowers going around it. she also is wearing flower earrings as well as a chocker.  


The trope I want to use is the princess that needs to be married to be queen. If i were to subvert it i could have the princess go along with this idea of finding a husband for majority of the story and then for the big plot change she could step down and go to a life of simplicity. if i were to double subvert it i could have her abandon the crown and not marry loosing the thrown of her own country just to later find a prince and marry him becoming a queen of a new country.

Inspiration  I chose this image because of the bushes lined along the side. I found the textures interesting as well as the different shapes cut into them.  I was specifically drawn to the bush in the front because I thought it looked like a person.  The second I saw the image (which I took on vacation so it is still my own) I saw a person with a headpiece and a dress. So I wanted to explore that and see what I could come up with. I saw a couple of things. a cool texture for clothes being one. The other is a kind of fuzzy head shape. so the character could be kind of fuzzy or prickly. Sketches I drew a character named Oakley. I used the bush texture and shape to make a formal dress. I also designed the charter so that his body is like the stem/sticks of the bush and his clothes are more like the leaves.
